HYBRID BANKS FOR COMPENSATING CAPACITIVE AND INDUCTIVE REACTIVE POWER

Hybrid banks (combined reactor-capacitor) are intended for compensating both inductive and capacitive reactive power.
Such solutions are applied in facilities with capacitive loads (LED lighting, UPS) at night, as well as inductive load during the day. The banks are equipped with three-phase core reactors and capacitors.

The bank uses a special DCRG8 IND reactive power controller that measures 3-phase current and enables simultaneous operation of capacitors and reactors. The value and nature of the actuating element are specified on individual outputs when programming the controller. With an operating bank, when the controller detects capacitive nature in the network, it first deactivates all capacitive stages (capacitors), and if the network condition does not change, it starts switching off all inductive stages (reactors), until the set tgφ is achieved.
Opposite operation of the circuit, at low tgφ inductive power value is similar – starting with the reactors, and continuing with switching off the capacitors.

Special solutions are priced and executed on special order of the client.
